Hi everyone Jennifer from Tarle speech with your two for Tuesday.
Two for Tuesday are two words that are pronounced the same but they have different definitions and different spellings. These words are called homophones.
Our words today are wine the drink made from fermented grapes; and whine a long high-pitched cry or a complaining tone.
So let’s not whine about this lesson let’s hop to it!
So our words today are wine and whine; to say these words correctly we’re going to think about three sounds. We’re going to start with the w sound wwww. To do that pucker your lips your tongue is just flat in the middle of your mouth.
Next, we’re going to move to the i and to make that vowel sound I suggest to make the long i that you open your mouth wide and then you move to a smile. This will help you get your tongue low in your mouth and then move it to high and flat i i.
Last end with the n sound by touching the tip of your tongue to the back of your top front teeth. The air is going to move out of your nose.
Let’s put it all together.

And now for a sentence:
I promise you I won’t whine if you are out of wine.
Give it a try I know people are going to notice the difference.
