Transcript:

Hi everyone Jennifer from Tarle Speech with your two for Tuesday homophone lesson.

We’re continuing with our Alphabet letter name miniseries here; and homophones are words that are pronounced exactly the same they just have different spellings and different meanings.

So our letter today is p, and we also have the words pea which is a plant with round green seeds in a pod. or a pee which means to urinate.

So to say these words correctly two little sounds. Let’s start with that P. Lips together then they open. Air Puffs out. Voice box is off. It is not vibrating. Then we’re going to move to that long e. It’s my favorite vowel! You get to smile. Smile and the tongue will be high and flat in the mouth e.

Let’s put it all together:
P-E

And now for a sentence:
The little boy thought he was funny drawing a P with pee on the ground by the pea plants.
